The Old Fliers Group is an association of people with an interest in aviation. They meet on the last Friday of each month for lunch at the Royal Aero Club of Western Australia at Jandakot Airport. After lunch a member or an invited guest speaks on an aviation-related subject with an emphasis on historical and World War II stories.
Our first meeting was held in 2003 and membership has grown steadily; it includes active and ex-pilots, aircrew, ground crew, gliding enthusiasts and people with a general interest in aviation. Membership covers a wide spectrum of ages.
A survey of about eighty members at a recent meeting revealed that there was over 370,000 hours of aeronautical experience among those present. We especially value the membership of our older aviators for the stories they share with us.
New members and visitors are welcome.
